In this scene, who or what is the source of the sorcery?  Is the cloaked swordsman responsible for summoning the menacing sky, or were the foreboding clouds a harbinger to his appearance?  The term "grey eminence" refers to the exercise of power by some hidden force.  Thanks to Ira Johnson for helping me out with this photograph, and for suffering under the heavy cape on a very hot June day at Mounds State Park in Anderson, Indiana.
