This is a portal to the other side, an enchanted gate, a means of transmission to some other dimension, an ethereal egress ...or whatever you would like it to be. As in many of my images, it's full of contrasting elements. The cold, hard stone and steel contrasted with the warm, soft clouds. The repression of the closed, chained gate contrasted with the freedom of the open sky. A gateway of transition. (Click the image for a close-up detail.) |
